It all started when Engineering PhD student Alhassan Khedr’s doctoral research discovered a breakthrough for fully homomorphic encryption—acceleration of advanced data encryption speeds by 7 orders of magnitude over the U.S. government’s baseline implementations. Seeing the great potential, Kheder and his supervisor at the University of Toronto, Glenn Gulak, set out to bring this game-changing cybersecurity solution to market to the benefit of organizations and entire industries
